Bible Verse of the Week

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever."
Psalm 118:1

Welcome to another week of Chirho. Yesterday, the 8th graders had a retreat. The TCH Senior Campus Ministry came and put on the 8th grade retreat. They had a lot of laughs, tears, and hugging each other. "It was an emotional bonding," Mrs. Dee Dee, the religion teacher, said. The 8th graders said they had a really good time, and they cannot wait until the younger grades get to go through the same experience. The 6th had a tour of the retreat house at Our Lady of the Oaks. Tomorrow, the junior will be joining in a gratitude rosary. Join us next week for more information.

We're back! Welcome to another week of Chi rho. Last week was Red Ribbon Week, everyday we had a different theme. On Monday, the students wore pj's to put drugs to sleep. On Tuesdays, the students wore jerseys because All-Stars stay away from drugs. One Thursday, the students wore mix match clothes, because we don't get mixed up with drugs. On Friday, we wore red, white, and blue because we voted to stay away from drugs. Join us next week because we will be reporting again.

Welcome to another week of Chi rho. Every year as a tradition, the 8th graders build a balloon rosary and say the rosary for Breast Cancer. This week, the 8th grade girls spent their time on Wednesday to make the rosary balloon. The 8th grade boys said the rosary, while the girls held the balloons. After the rosary was finished, the girls let go of the balloons into the sky. Join us next week for another week of reporting.

This week, the Chi rho Cardinals have a lot to report on. Our 8th grade classes attended their first mass with their pre-k buddies. They did very well, and are ready to do so much with them! 7th graders cleaned the loft in our church. Thanks for helping out guys/girls! Our 6th graders went to a spiritual awakening/praise and worship ceremony this week. They learned a lot about each other's feelings , and experienced reconciliation and forgiveness. Also, the entire student body had a chance to touch and pray over a rosary, which will soon be put into the time capsule, to be opened in 25 years. Join us next week for more!

To start off our blog, the Junior High students went through the sacrament of reconciliation. Some of us were a bit nervous, but we now know that our souls are clean from sin. Glad to share our experience!

Welcome to Chi rho Cardinals! In this blog, you will learn about the Junior High Religion classes, and what they do. Each post is from a student's point of view. So please, remember to keep Christ in your heart daily. Enjoy!
